Dagwood & Scoops: Logo Design

Located in the Mission District of San Francisco, the owner of Dagwood & Scoops was looking for a seal-styled logo that was clean in style but also incorporated the vibrancy of the up-and-coming district.
Dagwood caters to a broad demographic where they serve gourmet sandwiches and ice cream daily. A welcoming and friendly logo with a custom illustration and retro, mid-century style font was developed to target this specific audience. The illustration was sketched using Procreate and vectorized through Adobe Illustrator.
THE FINAL PRODUCT
From the initial proofs, the owner wanted to enhance the practicality of the illustration based on his offerings. To do this, we removed the fountain drink and replaced it with a classic cola bottle. For the sandwich, we focused more on the essence of the buns which are delivered daily from Bordenave's Bakery in San Rafael.
